My DC loop resistance on the EWE is in it's normal 9 to 10 ohm range, so I'm 
hearing as well as I can for

the simple EWE>VLF iso xfmr>LPF > DBM > IF radio setup....

The 10:1 4-core BN73-202 transformers I have at both ends of the EWE each 
had an insertion loss of .63dB at 30Khz when I measured them before 
installation last year. Not

sure it's worth going to T75 or higher u material to pickup a few tenths dB 
insertion loss at VLF....although it would likely halve the 1dB insertion 
loss those transformers have at 20kHz .....
