[Lowfer] Morning lowfers

I am going to look into it further. Just the other day at midday JD and I for a few hours ran PSK etc as you might recall. He was amazed at the strength of my signal. He mentioned to me how the BC stations in the area and away from his area were always stronger in Winter. I was audible in Kansas at 1 PM. I heard my psk on my cell phone thru his!
I will note that this pasted fall I was amazed at how well the signals were into Europe on 74. I figured they would have to be dog bone signals at mid-winter time with frozen ground. That has not been the case! They are about the same as in September 45-60 degrees! Good nights and bad nights like anytime.
Because the wave is so long it just may not be prone to changes in conductivity because a wavelenght is 3 miles long and just covers too much ground per wave to notice slight and major changes in conductivity. It maybe something to discuss with John Andrews?
I know other than what John has built in field intensity meters, the loop antennas are shielded so to only show the "electro-magnetic" and not "see" the" electo-static" in all field sets approved for FCC related measurements . However, there are no commercial field sets available from Potomac or anyone below I believe 200 kHz. Must be for a reason. I know an engineer at Potomac Instruments. I am going to ask him about it-Bob
