Good day all:
Just a quick note.. I tried the Tree-Tenna on 1750 meters last night and was dismally
disappointed.. Not a single lowFER received.. I tried for Ear, WI , MLS , SIW - slant ,
and TAG , I parked on 188.830 for the overnight thinking that EAR would probably
pop up in the early morning hours.. Overnight captures proved otherwise ..
Tuning at 1750 meters is extremely sharp, and difficult to accomplish.. BW is next
to nothing without having to retune.. In its current configuration; it would not be a
desired to use antenna on 1750.. Armed with that knowledge; trying to go on down to
2200 meters would be even more difficult.. The only advantage would be stronger
signals there.. More later:
