    Perhaps iono multi-path effects during the nite/day sunrise transition? 
The dog boning and imaging effects also

suggest the QRSS viewer is saturating or overloading on the input level. Not 
uncommon to see a skywave signal level

increase significantly just before or during/after sunrise and then fade 
away on 160m....
