Hard to beat the old standby-QRSS! 
Yes I had the wrong freq inserted but later on I tried it with 1610 inserted and used "other" for the band-still no go.  I think you mentioned "lie to it" Of course that would work but it ain't the right way!  
I can live without it for a while-I think you can too! Bob
