Not familiar with WSPR-X yet, but I concluded that's what I needed to do as
well if the transmit audio was set for 1550, outside the WSPR-15 spec.  Or
else, lie to it about my BFO frequency, but that gets even more confusing,
as I found out playing with WSPR-2 recently.

Unfortunately, it's a moot point here tonight.  Two BIG lines of storms in
the western part of the state already had it awfully noisy here before
sunset.  Couldn't even see MP, which is pretty drastic.  Hope for a chance
to try again in a couple of days when this moves past.  A good loop antenna,
probably with a sense antenna and a phaser for a bit of pattern flexibility,
is high on my list of priorities.
