Many, many years ago, I moved three 20 foot lengths of 2.5" diameter
steel well pipe from out farm to my QTH in the city. The trip was about
70miles. I has the pipes tied underneath my 1961 VW bug. Turning corners
in the city was "interesting."

When I moved the six 30 foot long lengths of 6" diameter irrigation pipe
to my present QTH, I tied them atop my box trailer. The rig was a couple
of feet over the legal road limit, but I made it home without incident.
