[Lowfer] Who is on?

Thanks Mitch, especially for providing a "weak signal" for me to receive.
;-)

I'm sure the G31 is superb, but the G33 has the extra filters, preamp,
and better frequency stability.

None of that matters a great deal at VLF/LF except the frequency stability
(0.5 ppm VS 2.5 ppm, if I remember correctly). Gain and filtering can be
achieved outside the receiver via L/C filters and low noise preamps, at a
much cheaper cost than the difference in price between the G31 and the G33.

I was on the verge of buying a QS1R (1 ppm frequency stability, according
to the manufacturer), mostly because it has an external jack for a high
stability frequency reference, until I learned from the manufacturer that
the high stability reference needs to be 125 MHz for optimum performance.
This dashed my hopes of using a cheap ebay 10 MHz OCXO. The lack "up front"
information on the manufacturer's web site sealed the deal for me.
