I agree - they are solid - and I have received NDBs from Alaska to Tahiti in the Pacific, and Azores to Greenland
in the Atlantic. I am not sure if I would go as far as the 12 footer - but would certainly go to 10 footer, for no
particular reason - it's just a nice figure.
The 12 footer ( 3/4 inch copper and 2x4 Cedar across the middle ) gets pretty heavy at the top of a 10-15 foot
post. Especially when you are trying to lift it over your head and drop the pipe into the rotator - and that's when
the wind starts to blow - hi !
Good luck - and let me know if you have the "octo-loop" construction article....but I think you must have.
