two groups on 75m, 3786 and 3799.9 (.5 .0) are stronger than anything but stations east of a line drawn from Florida to Ohio overnight, on reclaimed salt-marsh facing the atlantic ocean in MA. suspect it's because ground conductivity over saltwater is so superior that of normal dirt, theres nowhere near as much damping.
on 160 meters i heard a discussion about how european SSB used to "roll in" on 160, about 8 years ago, coinciding with a solar maximum and 6-meter openings. i have no idea what would cause that
