I checked my past captures and found what appears to be a signal on 26.6
kHz, Feb 11, 2011 at 2254Z. I presume I didn't pay attention at the time
because I thought it was an IM product from the very strong US sources
lower in frequency. However, John's mention of it got me curious. I find
no reception reports of CAA2A at
http://www.classaxe.com/dx/ndb/rna/?mode=signal_list, nor for the
European and Worldwide versions either. Also, I don't find it on Jay,
W1VD's list of VLF stations copied. It's mentioned on the 25-30 kHz list
at http://www.vlf.it/trond2/25-30khz.html, but I don't think that's very
current. A Google search on "CAA2A 26.6 kHz" brings up little, but there
is a link listing CAA2A active 24/7 on 26.6 kHz for the Chilean Navy as
of Aug 19, 2010 (http://kagura.pop.tc/radio/userlist.txt). Does anyone
know with confidence that this station is really currently active?
