Tnx,

Hi Dex,
I have noticed before that the usual times that SAQ transmits
-1200UTC or this time 1330UTC, are usually the worst time
of the day for VLF propagation from Europe. Signals like
22.1 from the UK run 20 over S9 in the evenings around
0000UTC but drop to S7 or less buried in the noise around
1200-1330UTC.
We should write to SAQ again and ask if they would
consider another nighttime transmission to the USA. I think
they were heard better in Europe during their last nighttime
transmission also.
Propagation is variable on VLF from day to night just like on
higher bands. A path of darkness is the best. Sometimes good
signals are heard in the daytime but much more likely during a
path of darkness.
