It appears that Opera's receiving passband is cenetered on 1500 Hz - like WSPR's default setting.
Using USB the receiver dial should be set 1500 lower in frequency (505.0 dial for a 506.5 signal).
If one elects to use a narrower filter in the receiver cw position the BFO should set such that
506.5 produces a 1500 Hz beat note.
If the signal was Q5 it should have been visible between the passband marker lines in the waterfall.
Think I'll fire up Opera here for a daytime test run. Will advise when up and running.
