Rick, Todd, and David,
Glad others enjoyed the good VLF conditions too.
Boy, I sure made some typos. Yes, 16.4 kHz is JXN. Also, since it was
evening the signal on 21.1 kHz was RDL (I have 2 stations logged there
and for some reason picked the second one in the Pacific). I can measure
frequency accurately too, but years ago when I entered NAU in my WWSU63
database I used 40.8 kHz. I do have 40.75 kHz noted in the comments
section.
Listening later I noted a second frequency of NRK at 57.4 kHz and as
sunrise neared CFH showed up on 73.6 kHz. Never noticed CKN on 76.2 kHz
although conditions to the west weren't bad. DGPS on 321 kHz from
Lompoc, CA was strong and NDB NY on 350 kHz from BC was decent. Managed
to decode VX9BDQ on 504 kHz Opera around then too when I looked briefly,
though SNR was only -28 dB if I recall right. John was doing better to
Laurence's receiver in Alaska.
