Stan,
yes, your FRN number is the same regardless of the service.
The FCC expected emission designators for each mode and the process is a bit
tedious. My advice is to search for Part 5 licenses and copy the tech details
where applicable.. Thats what most people do anyway.
to search the OET, go to
https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/els/reports/CallsignSearch.cfm an enter a part 5
callsign and look at the current filing and exhibits. My grant is pretty simple
but I did not ask for much besides CW, MSK, and FSK.
73 and good luck!

Subject: [Lowfer] Part 5 FCC Application
Hello The Net:
I am pondering a FCC (online) form 422 application.
Do folks use their Amateur Radio FRN or do they get another one ?
When they ask for emission designations I am stumped.
for emission: XYZ,
X = A to X,
Y = 0-9 , x
Z=A-F, N, W, X
The FCC also asks for modulating signal and necessary bandwidth.
So, what emission types have others requested ?
for WSPR, WSJT different modes, ROS, WOLF, OPERA, Digital Voice,
DFCW, QRSS/CW, and graphicals, etc.
Thanks Stan, W1LE
