Mitch & All:  Mid day capture on QRSS30 slow on NE EWE> modified HD-1420>FT-817 w/tcxo > Acer netbook

    I made a few improvements to the HD-1420, but I'm not sure how much affect they had on 137 kHz operation.

Seeing about 40dB out of the noise from that one quiet spot on the viewer. If I move the cursor around the 

noise is -70 to -105 or so....but not sure of my standard candle reference---next thing to pay attention to I suppose.....

Looks like the V-wires transverse to the loop are adding the intended omni pattern improvements....seems like MP

was more like 30 dB out of the noise on prior captures.....Hope that helps.  73  Mike wa3tts
