[Lowfer] wspr question

Pat,

WSPR does not stop decoding but it is easily overloaded. I think JT has
indicated that none of his systems are really designed for strong signals but
that's just the reality of it when we are packed in together.

One of the benefits of being down here by myself is that even when stations are
strong, they are not strong enough to impact my system.

73 and thanks for the decodes!

One thing that I am finding out (at least for my setup) is that if a loud
station is transmitting in the WSPR bandwidth, then the RX noise detects the
signal and runs the Rx noise into the red and decodes of the weak stations stop.

Right now , when Eric turns on his JT-9 signal - my Rx noise rise to +13 db -
when he is not transmitting the Rx noise is -2db. I was consistently decoding
WG2XIQ until he started transmitting. I have done one decode since. I can barely
hear WG2XIQ on and off with QSB and Eric is very loud.

When the Rx noise goes into the red - Does WSPR stop trying to decode?

Pat: Having the " Save All " checked in WSPR causes the program
to " RECORD " the Received Audio, and save it to a .wav file..
Unless you have a massively large hard-drive, this can tend to
" Fill Up " the disk very quickly, and cause your PC to do some
crazy stuff because it runs out of space to write information to
the disk.. Unless you have a specific need to save the audio; it
might be advantageous to check " Save None " and - SAVE the HDD..
