The N1EQ solution is a good one, but as near as I can tell it doesn't appear
Murata makes those clip-on heaters any more.
The same basic principle was used by Lyle Koehler in his All-In-One
transmitter article:

The PTC thermistor Lyle used was rated for a maximum voltage of 25 (he
operated it at 5V) and a resistance of 50 ohms at a 40° C Curie point.
Those, unfortunately, also seem to be deemed obsolete now. Some are
available from various vendors in 60° versions, I think, which may be better
anyway for those of us who live in warmer climates.
