John, yes it was noisy here but the Opera SNRs seem too low when I
consider how well your signal looked on the Spectrum Laboratory
waterfall set to approximately QRSS3 bandwidth. It looked better than
WSPR signals with SNR above -20 dB. Didn't check out XGJ but I'd say the
level was comparable to what XGJ was the previous evening. Also missed
VX9BDQ because it was nearly sunrise when I could have changed to Opera
8 and by then it was QRT.
Too bad, because propagation to the west was excellent. Copied NDB MOG
on 404 kHz LSB at -1052 Hz, 7.98 s cycle for the first time in quite a
while. A quick look at DGPS stations around 1040Z decoded 054 in NM on
291 kHz, 138 in OR on 294 kHz, 172 in WA on 300 kHz, 174 in UT on 303
kHz, 084 in CA on 305 kHz, 074 in NV on 312 kHz, 062 in MT on 313 kHz,
068 in WA on 316 kHz, 064 in AZ on 319 kHz, 305 in BC on 320 kHz, and
264 in CA on 321 kHz.
This morning EAR is coming through well on QRSS30 at 188.83 kHz but see
nothing from MP on 137 kHz. Perhaps it's down, intended or otherwise.
