Hi Andy,
Your WSPR signal is coming in nicely this evening on my un-tuned 10 foot diameter loop with preamp.
The settings that I use here on my TS-440 for LF are RF gain at 8 and AF gain at 4. I've done a lot of
experimenting here with those settings and they work for me with all of the modes we use, without a
change in settings. I use a Timewave DSP-59+ between the rig and the computer and on the input to
the DSP I have a clipper made of a series 10 ohm resistor and a pair of 1N914 back-to-back diodes.
The line-out of the DSP is fed via a 1:1 isolation transformer to the sound card's line-in jack.
