Les , Hans Summers G0upl sells a pic chip IDer for beacons see 
http://www.hanssummers.com/qrsskeyer

Hans promotes beacons for 80/40/and 30 meters on his group QRPLABS . 
Hans id chip is similar to the discontinued k1d2 chip (no longer 
available) by K1EL. Google qrplabs and it should take you there.
