[Lowfer] Al Wire as a loop conductor

Stan may be thinking of the older style conductors that where installed
in threes with an insulator spacing them to prevent contact. These
still exist even up here and are a constant source of fire and
misadventure as the conductor's insulation where not UV or weather
proof. Hence the need for spacers. These drops often cause fires at
the interface to the house where they come in close contact.
