Actually, hardly anyone on this list has "profiles" on the lwca.org site. 
Only those who have registered to post in the Community Forum have anything 
resembling a profile.  We discourage the use of email addresses in those 
profiles anyway, and unless you were both a user of that forum and had 
chosen to make your email public, they wouldn't have gotten it from there.

This is actually an old spammers trick (well, six or seven years since the 
first such bogus message I ever received, which is an eternity in the 
on-line universe) intended to make the recipient think it's from some other 
user of a trusted site, and therefore maybe let their guard down.  In 
reality, someone who has sent you email in the past has recently picked up a 
trojan that harvested their contacts list.  It sent your address to the 
evildoers, along with anyone else's address the victim ever used.  If one of 
those addresses happened to include the name of a popular social networking 
site that the spam software recognized...or in the absence thereof, even 
just any old .org domain...the software will latch onto that name and 
include it in their spurious message to try to fool you.  I've gotten them 
in the past specifying names of sites I've never even heard of, let alone 
had a "profile" on, but somebody I've been in contact with had evidently 
used the named site.

FWIW, I see that I received that same message at the address I'm using now, 
which has been used for contacting some other list members directly but has 
NEVER appeared anywhere on lwca.org.  Fortunately, my spam trap caught it 
and sent it to the Deleted folder for me. Whoever got trojaned may have had 
a lot of us in his contacts list!
