Hi I finally bought DSCdecoder with a suggested alternate site. Works well
on DGPS but as typical here the "Help Files" won't open. My computer will
not open the "Foreign Source" software Help files.......why? I have no
idea.
Your VLF-LF setup antenna is what I'm aiming for. A Zl501D and Z1203B @
25'. However I have to make 2 Coaxial Chokes. I'll use a Fair-Rite Closed
Toroids at 3" OD with a aL of 8200. The coax will be RG-174 because of its
small diameter. If I use 25 Turns they will be 2.2K ohm @ 70 Khz or 34
Turns for 25 Khz. To be enclosed in a plastic waterproof housing.
A question Garry Do I need 3 Chokes? One on each end of the antenna coax
to the whip and/or another choke on the output of the Z1203B to the receiver
input? Not sure about the 3rd choke after the Z1203B output.
Best DX
