Hi Dick,
That is good news about the recent improvements you have made to
your AMRAD E-field probe + mounting at a greater height + new coax
downlead.
Your receiver setup sounds really nice also.

I live along the coast here in South Carolina and even here SAQ was weak
copy
for me this time. Some days conditions are just better on VLF than other
days I
guess! Sounds like you gave it a good try! Maybe conditions will be a
little better
for their next broadcast Dec 24.

Gang,

I listened hard! Really hard!! I strained my eardrums so much that blood
was pooling in my ear canal. Using my SDR/IQ I had ARGO running, Spectran
was running. My CPU load was up to 80%. I was using my recently rebuilt
AMRAD E-Field probe. It's up about 35 feet in height (10 feet higher then
it
was before). It's attached to a brand new garden shed, using brand new
brackets (NO RUST YET) with brand new coax! That baby is a veritable RF
magnet! I even invoked an old French chant that I learned while attending
Marti Graw in New Orleans a couple of years ago. Yet I heard NOTHING, NADA,
ZERO, ZIP !!! Oh well ... maybe I just don't live right! I'll try harder
the
next time. Kudo's to you guys who copied it.
