I was surprised to receive the reception report below for my 137.9 kHz
CW transmission last evening:

************************************************

"My call is N4IS , This is my first copy on 137KHz, Jan 24^th 10:20 z ,
signal was20 db above noise, antenna UNIPOLE 116 FT high, with a 1:100
balun, LPF and 2 Norton’s preamps, Radio is a QS1R SDR radio. I’m in
South Florida, EL96UB. 20 miles west of Ft Lauderdale.

I found your signal tuning in the band. I was checking DFCF39 and it was
30 db above noise when I heard a cw signal. I’m using my TX antenna to
receive LW all use it as a reference for new RX antennas. For 160m, my
RX antennas are dual flag antennas called Waller Flag, I have one
Horizontal at 116^th and another vertical at 50 ft. You can see them on
my web page, www.n4is.com <http://www.n4is.com>
Regards, JCarlos"

Had I been sending the usual QRSS he most likely would have never
identified it. There is no doubt he copied the transmission because he
sent the report to my dedicated xko email address that I was sending.

He is interested in LF so I will invite him to join the lowfer mail group.
