Hi Dex,
I guess there are a few still out there. TUK 194 on Nantucket used to
be the one around here but it broke down and the State of Massachusetts
decided that it wasn't going to spend the money to get it back up.
Here's a couple of references to HLB and the voice transmissions:

I still have the old trusty Palomar too. Mine is the red one in the
Hammond box. I transmitted into that sucker more than once and have
replaced the LM1496 a few times! I still have about 4 or 5 1496s
kicking around. I was thinking of EBaying it. I'm using a PMSDR SDR
and it's pretty cool. I want to upgrade and I'm thinking of the SDR-IQ
but I have to raise a little $$$ first. The PMSDR is more sensitive
than the Palomar, the Palomar leaks some 80 M trash in and the Xtal osc
is off a bit.
Last night while chasing NDBs, I added FOY 395 Foynes-Shannon, Ireland
and a new Brazilian to my NDB log. Condx seem to be improving around
here for DX.
