OK: Fast CW; well I can truthfully say; " I tried that " Quickly saw
the host of problems, the BW, key clicks, mode in-efficiency for LF.
One thing about myself; I don't just " talk " about something,
I " Try It " And then I have honest, real world experience to show
for it..If you never try; you never learn...apart from what a book
says...

JD: Thanks for your input on the matter.

Frequency 186.100 KHz:

Here at my QTH, listening in USB on 184.600 KHz for WSPR operation;
this frequency is very quiet at this time.. 1:45 pm local, and on
186.100 KHz in CW mode, there is only a slight bit more QRN from a
carrier up band just a bit. But were I to be looking for a signal
on this frequency, there is no QRN that would hinder reception..
Of course this is daytime, and at night things do change, so I'll
see how it sounds at dark.. I am listening in a 2.4 KHz BW too..
On 184.200 KHz; the sideband splatter from Europa-1 was evident.
A move of 400 cycles farther away from them is a good thing...
PLUS; this will put me 200 cycles above John's little Wolfie, and
that is better too, since my signal will now fall above him, and not
" ON " him if I happen to use a mode that is a little wide..

These may be PW signals, but courtesy shouldn't ever have a closed
door...
I would like to hear from some of you guys about the frequency at
your QTH.. Is it fairly quiet ?? Try a few minutes of listening
on 184.600 KHz in USB after dark, as well as 186.100 KHz in CW mode
and let me know how it sounds at your QTH.. I will appreciate it..

Only 5 inches of snow here, but it is very wet, and slippery.
Lots of rural area here, so travel is mostly not happening today.
Ice on top of the snow forecast for tonite ( not good ) so travel
tomorrow will not be any better.. Many of those who tried to get out
today have ended up in a ditch, or off the road.. Where I am; I know
better than to even try, so I'm in for a couple of days..
Good time to play radio...

73 all, and have a good day:
