Thanks for the XDW reports chaps -pretty good seeing as Im using only what can be described as a very large compromised system.
The short 45 degree angled wire is 24 gauge (I think) - that Green stuff you get in blister packs at Radio shack and virtually invisible at a few meters - support is by 20 pound mono fishing line at the Pecan tree end and just fired up there with a Walmart catapult and 1oz lead weight. The Green wire is formed into a small 4 inch loop at the far end to stop Corona - the Neon scredriver in the shack lights up at some 3ft from the wire when held so some healthy voltages!
The 4 seried bucket coils are inside by me and the feed goes thru the uPVC window frame using the inner from RG58 (!) matching is via a 10:16/18/20/24 small 77 toroid - and the Earth is plugged into the main earth rods and hidden wires and the Safety pin of the 110V feed (yep I know)....so my losses are very large.
Last years Hotel had a much better Earth system and current is some 30 somethings less here. The Hotel has now closed so guess no more LF activity from there...RIP Phillips Hotel Bville.
The only change is the output device on the ZL1BPU DDS - now testing a TDA7056B which has better control and stability/waveform than the old 7052AN's, and small 24T/77 Bilfilar transformer as the output. Runs cold at 1W input.
Snow on the wires this morning here in Okie. Ill leave it on today
