It has never been encrypted over the +20 years I have monitored.  Originally
it transmitted 5 (not a typo) and 50 Bd Baudot

There is no reason to encrypt.  Coded is good enough. Encryption on top of
that is pointless.  The messages are identical to the voice messages seen on
HF USAF circuits.

Now whether the MSK is clear or has some different coding with error
correction, I do not know.
