Thanks for the report Garry. I guess WMS is full power and problem is
in meter. Antenna current is normal.
last night on 10 o'clock news and wx the weatherman said there had been
a solar event with three large sunspots. Supposed to have more on
6'oclock news tonight about how this will affect communications. I dont
know much about space weather so I wish someone would comment.
I've been working with a friend who lives about 10 miles away. He is
comming back to ham radio after a hiatus of several years. We have him
set up with ARGO and SPECTRAN but he is using a TS430 and hasnt had any
luck picking me up. We are going to build a couple of Lyle's sdr
downconverters for Spectrum lab and a pa0rdt mini whip antenna. Dave
wants to put up a beacon at his home in N Little Rock and one at his
lakeside home at Greers Ferry lake near Heber Springs AR. Dave is a
registered professional engineer and had a business constructing AM and
FM stations so he is very knowledgeable about antennas.
