[Lowfer] A hint of UWL

Yes, I will absolutely get the data to you tonight. I promise I'm not
doing anything "funny" like cranking up the voltage...and of course
I'm not saying anyone was accusing me of that either, just stating for
the record :)
This is the same K0LR final I have had for years and I do know it can
run 8 watts or more because I did that when I first got my 2200m
license, and was copied by John Reed on 137 kHz at about 68 miles
using that amp at 8 watts or so.
But I'm not doing that now. I will post the final voltage and current
draw tonight. I wish I had some direct means of measuring antenna
current but I don't. I do have a thermocouple type meter but it has
something like an 8 amp scale. All I have ever used for the LowFER
beacon is Lyle's clamp-on current probe design, and lately I haven't
even used that...just a 1N34A clipped to my voltmeter.
I will also post a picture tonight of the base of the antenna so you
can see the loading coil, battery, solar panel, and final...or at
least a spot in the snow under which the final resides!
It was 1 degree F here this morning around daybreak.
