Hey Dex. The antenna is about 50 ft from my house and about 30 ft from the
tree line. It is on a 10ft TV mast which I attached to an old clothline
pole. I could get the antenna further from the treeline at the expense of
moving it closer to the powerlines feeding my house. I have the coax
feeding the antenna stapled to the ground with "lawn staples", and now the
grass has grown over it. The antenna mast is grounded with an 8 foot copper
clad ground rod.
Nothing special, but it seems to work well. I could easily raise the base
of the antenna up to 30' by adding another couple of sections of TV mast,
but Jack said there was no advantage to raising the antenna higher.
