Good Morning Mitch,
I was just a wee lad at that time. I am sure YRB was very different when I was there some 20 to 25 years later.
I have never been on the ground at Mould Bay but I do remember flying over and having a quick look at the crashed C-47 that is still there today and quite likely in much the same condition as it was 30+ years ago.
Cheers es 73, Graham ve3gtc

Hi Graham:
I enjoyed YRB 1954-1956 - ex VE8MB.
then to Isachsen (Ellef Ringnes) YMD for 6 months in the winter of 1955-56) ex VE8WN, VE8MD
Great "quiet" conditions then !

Navtex used to run +365 up there when I worked at Res Bay/Resolute so surprised if they knocked it off..but hey Im not paying the bills up there!

Greenland however, I only see from time to time when it manages to peak through between transmissions from the other BIG East Coast stations. Iqualuit is another that I only see snippets from time to time between the BIG stations but I think Iqualuit is now closed for the season. So far many garbled snippets that I think are Iqualuit but so far not a single positive ID.
