I was able to see 700 watts of continuous CW output from a pair of 
IRFP450 hexFETS without any trouble running Class-E on 160 meters.
Price - about $3 each at Mouser.
 
4 x IRFP450's should handle 1.2KW of CW output Class-E at 95%  efficiency.
Total cost for finals $12.
