You or somebody modified it for all band transmit then as I don't think it was
sold that way. Don't know what you drive but I'd load the 706MKIIG up with a
Bugcatcher antenna on the back of my pickup truck for some fun on HF!! 3w to
activate the autotuner? Well legally thats 2 watts over our limit for 1750m but
I doubt that I'd say anything about it if I knew somebody was running 3w instead
of 1w on the band.....

TX/RX, 100 KHz - 200 (minus FM broadcast) MHz all mode.  I had plans to use
it as an IF for 10 GHz but never got around to experimenting.

I never measured the output on 1750m, I only tuned it up a couple of times,
but the
auto-tuner required a minimum of 3W to activate, so at least that out of the
radio.  The tuner was able to match up on 1750m within a few moments, so an
easy task for it.  No doubt the system was horribly inefficient.

The MKII has since been retired and the tuner removed when I got rear-ended,
but I have a new MKIIG to play with this year.

Was that for receive only or will it transmit on that frequency? Don't think
it will unless you modified it for all band transmit.
