Good morning all: It probably has nothing to do with this reason,
but it is a benefit none the least. In most all rigs, there is the
aggravating 20+ dB attenuator that covers the BCB, and usually 
extends down to 500 KHz. At 499.999 KHz, the attenuator drop out, 
and you get the extra sensitivity back. From my soap box look;
it would be as beneficial for the worldwide stations to be given
authority to move below 500 KHZ for that reason too. an extra
20+ dB of sensitivity would sure help out. My opinion only...
