Hi all:
Lots of emails today, so it'll take some time to get around to all
of them. But for Todd, Dex, and Doug, " XR " is on, and will be
thru the day unless something weird happens.
Dex, I have noticed the small frequency shifts, but not certain
what is really causing them to happen. I suspect a very slight
voltage change on the EPSON Osc. chip. That will definitely cause
a change in frequency.
NOTE !!! for the guys looking for " XR " on groundwave. I made a
change in the setup at exactly 12:30pm EDST ( 16:30 UTC )
I would like to know if any of you see a change in the signal,
better, or worse... I had my HF dipoles connected to the rig
last night monitoring on 600 meters and that changed the tuning
of the lowFER beacon drastically. They are now disconnected, as
I usually have it, just sort of suspended in the air....
Doug - KB4OER in Wautauga, TN. is 110 miles away from me, and my
sugnal was Dog Boneing big time a little after 8am this morning.
I have asked him to see if he can hear the carrier cycling On/Off.
I am striving for a setup that can be Heard in CW over 100 miles
away. When I get to that point; I'll feel like I have a real lowFER
setup.
Gotta make a quick trip to town, more later, 73 for now:
