Hi Dex,
I have a 333 foot perimeter delta loop for 500 kHz. work. The plane of the loop is at 45 degrees from vertical due to support
availability and the bottom run is north-south. I use a buried RG-6 feedline which is coupled to the to the antenna through a
toroidal-cored transformer. The delta loop ends are in series with the tuning cap and the primary winding of the transformer
which is used to step up the loop Z to that of the feeder. If I recall correctly, the tuning cap consists of a 400 pF. fixed mica
paralleled with a 100 pF. variable and the turns ratio on the transformer is 1:2 giving a good match. The best DX I've had
using this antenna is PA0A in WSPR mode and the Navtex station in Puerto Monte, Chile.
