Kurt , If you don't mind I am going to forward your post to a couple of other groups .

The main one will be the 10 meter beacon group . They use equipment much like you describe , old paging systems from the CB frequencies . I have probably a similar transmitter here that was used with a paging system, that I am going to put on as a 10 meter beacon .
