Hi all,
I am a little confused over this whole 30 meter beacon thing. How are we
running running beacons below 10 meters when the FCC says we can only run
automatic control 10 meters and above?
Thanks

Hi Rick,
>From what I understand it is perfectly fine to run a what they call a
manned beacon on frequencies below 10 meters in the Ham Bands.
That means an operator must be nearby to
monitor the operation of the beacon and shut it down if it is operating
abnormally or when he is not home to be able to monitor its operation.
That is probably why I hear most of the 30 meter QRSS beacons only in the
evening
hours or overnight when the operator is home.
