[Lowfer] Propagation

Morning Alan - as ever out more Northern aspect and "closestness" to the Geo/Mag Poles means whats Fair for others in more lower latitudes is probably abysmal for Alaska on LF/MF - well sometimes! It doesn't take much to make things real quiet long haul wise, especially West/East - and the difference between Okie and AK is manifest of course.
This past few days up there was real poor for me and as an example I had no WSPR decodes from my Eastern Clan for a number of days on 600m.
I checked and the high angle path losses to our NDB FA, only audible on skywave, was much higher and only occasional signals detected - shorter and perkier openings on this 225 mile over the mountains path as compared to the better conditions earlier in the week - As ever the daytime paths were better and I could actually see FA's carrier pretty well, but we have another sometimes Russian NDB SL on the same freq which causes brain freeze.
Back in Okie now - AK receiver remains online. Managed to get some power out on both 137 and 506kHZ from AK so my power lust was sated for a couple of weeks..
Hope things are well and missing your weather forecasts...

Hi John, Hmmm yes I must admit I am surprised that such a relatively small event was so noticable...maybe its just been good for so long now.
Hope you have all thawed out now !!
By the way I forgot to retitle and crop the digest off....something I often moan about.....so sorry pardon!
