What's the story on those out of the Amateur band 80m beacons? Is there
a website describing the who, why and where for these beacons? I presume
they are Part 15 or bootleg?

I believe our freq list is outdated on the 500kc.com site. I move about
the band where ever I feel like at the moment. Mostly live at the
paddles while I am working on some project and have the 600m station
running. There seems to be a bunch of 600m guys beaconing nearly on top
of each other around 509kc. Nice and close to the NDB OF CW ID which
makes it even more of a mess to listen to.

Guess that is a way to prove that the pilots are not using 600m NDB's
anymore as surely someone would have complained they could not ID the
NDB with a bunch of CW signals stacked in close to the NDB's CW ID freq.

There appears to be another group whom is sticking real close to the
bottom of the band at 495kc running QRSS or something slow. WSPR around
504kc, check the WSPR site for the exact freq. In between all that is my
station roaming the band with an occasional NEED beacon showing up
somewhere in there. hi hi
