Greeting everyone, and the very best of holiday wishes for all of you.

First; I want to thank Doug - KB4OER again for his very generous use
of his equipment over the weekend while I tried out WSPR for the
first time. He stayed with me the whole time, and by doing so, he
gave a lot of data to observe on his reception of my signal at
various times of day. It was interesting to see. I could tell when
a fade occured, and I could definitely see when the nighttime
skywave started to affect the signal, but mostly the effects of the
noise increase after dark, and how it affected the SNR.

The first serious run brought less than I had hoped for, and on the
other hand, about what I had expected as far as distance is concerned.
In a previous post, I mentioned that considering the mode; 500 miles
would be " Good DX " for me with the current setup. Well, thanks to
W8AC; 428 Miles, ( give or take ) got pretty dag-gum close to it.
I had some operators trying to get me from the post I made on the
WSPR.net page. And, I had a few direct emails telling me that they
didn't have very good setups for LF, but they would try anyway.
Well, to everyone on these lists that did try; I thank you for your
time, and efforts.

My " Hope to do " now, is to continue putting the PA stages together
and bring the efficiency " Way Up "... I need to run the radios
output thru a level control ( Vari-Pot ) so I can open it up some.
I need to run the output of the TDA7052B audio amp ( the PA ) into
a squaring circuit with the hopes of being able to drive the
Class " D " Complementary Pair PA to get that better efficiency.

There is one issue that I just am not experienced enough to easily
figure out; To be able to use the Audio amp as an Intermediate PA,
I need to know how to couple the Bridge Tied Load output into the
4060 IC that I'll be using for the squaring circuit.
If that Audio amp isn't happy with the load presented to it, then it
gets persnikity, and begins to fold back its output. And frankly;
I don't think that using an 8 Ohm speaker to load the Audio amp,
and tapping output to the PA from a speaker terminal is the
" Professional " way to do it--- hi - hi... BUT !! it did work...

I hope everyone has a good day, 73 for now:
