[Lowfer] My house is almost quiet now

Andy -well done on the TV - we ditched the plasma about a year back when the wife decided the present TV was a little small for my ageing eyes and replaced with a relatively non noisy device.

My main noise issue in AK was on 137/185 from the computer, actually the rs232 from the computer to the R75 - this house being stick built has no Faraday cage intrinsic qualities coming from the rebar - so nearly all of the crud gets commoned or escapes. Every location and current flowing appear different and bespoke and everyone has taken a little different remediation path. Give me a brick built rebarred and bonded building any day... - whats bad in Alaska isnt a problem here in Okie - just power line crud from across the road and rougue non filtered chargers which come and go - the worst being the pulse charger for my Ezip powered bicycle where all the filtering devices are bridged out - well were...

Choking, isolating, dumping to "earth" and removal of nearly all switch modes has done the trick and the last one that made the most at this AK qth and set up was the 3 wire opto isolator on the RS232 (went from S9 plus wandering crud down to background) - the noise from the SMPSU getting onto the data earth somehow and up to the antennae - My only issue is our sons gaming sessions on this "mulitplex" and forgets to power it fully down after he goes to sleep; thats ones of my rules! Unfortunatley looking at the Alaska snapper last night it looks like he forgot..

Long haul LF to Japan on 137 wasnt so good last night but I noticed the auroral oval has shifted South a bit still two stations ID'd. Warren XGJ was good into Okie but there is still no path to AK at the moment.
