Hello Lowfers,

A little OT, but possibly of interest to tube amplifier builders, is my application of four microwave oven xfmrs to
build a 9 KV supply for one of my Tesla coils. I found four identical MOTs and mounted them onto a plastic
cutting board with good spacing between them. The first pair have their cores connected together as well
as to ground. The cores of the second pair are connected to the hot secondaries of the first pair, making
a series circuit of the four secondaries with a centre tap grounded. The primaries are connected in series-
parallel so that they can be run from a 240 volt source. The entire assembly is immersed in transformer
oil in a Tupperware tub. You should see the "Jacob's Ladder" made from 1/2" copper pipe when it's
powered by the 4 MOT supply....nasty comes to mind! It's a LETHAL setup for sure....safety first.
