[Lowfer] Twisted Pair as Feedline

Jim,
I am also using Cat 5 cable for the feedline from a receiving antenna.
Two pair in parallel for the signal, two pair in parallel for the power.
For receiving purposes, just keep the signal ends carefully balanced,
and the power ends nicely decoupled. Works great.
For a transmitting application, it should be fine. It might be nice to
terminate it in a real resistance (100 or 50 ohms, depending on the
number of pairs). That will help the square wave to stay square.
And regarding Peter's comment about square waves, that's what's going to
get generated in a Class D or higher PA. I'm presently running TAG with
a square-wave source (though transformer coupled at both ends).
Harmonics up in the broadcast band are weak, and are clearly coming from
the antenna.
