[Lowfer] looking for information on EXP1750A

Good morning,

I found the radio on eBay last week while looking for an LF receiver.
I'd like to get my hands on a nice Navy receiver- but the search for
that continues. I have a thing for military radios.

I'm glad folks liked the photos. If you compare the board of the
EXP1750A on the archived copy of Mr. Curry's website with the EXP1750A
photos I posted, you'll see a number of differences between the two
boards. Hopefully over time more information will emerge about this
radio. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about it.

I plan to continue setting up LF equipment in my station. I've been
working on an antenna and a preamp. I have a loop antenna and preamp
partly constructed. Once I get the preamp finished (K0LR loop preamp)
I'll mount it on the antenna and finish it all up. My signal generator
doesn't go below 500Khz, so I need to find one of them, too. I'll hook
it all up the the receiver I plan to use (an HP 3586C) and the
computer. Any suggestions are welcome.

It also turns out I live 35 miles away from Mike, WE0H. He's offered
some great information and insight and hopefully we can work together
in the future. What great fortune it is to have this reflector.

I have a four year old son, 20+ year old cars and a 110 year old
house, so hobby projects move slowly. And I agree with Charlie- it's
hard to work inside while the weather's good. But a beacon is
definitely in the cards in the future.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.
