Interference and complaints WILL eventually get the FCC involved at a level 
that I wouldn't have ever believed .

As recently as maybe even today , the FCC has had field engineers in 
Coffeyville , Kansas , right across the state line from me by about a mile . 
They have rotated engineers in there all summer long .

It is due to one amateur radio operator complaining long enough and loud 
enough , about regular power line hash . Not to be confused with BPL , 
because we don't have it here .

They have been forcing the City owned utility to repair noises around his 
home all summer long . The issue still wasn't resolved as of a week ago and 
they were scheduled to be in here again beginning Monday of this week .

I have not talked to the ham involved to see if they are or were indeed back 
, but they are taking it VERY seriously .

If they take power line noise for one ham that seriously , I would hate to 
think what length they would go to with numerous complaints about a part 15 
station causing interference to a commercial station .

So far no visits here from them on my part 15 . *SMILE*
