Hi Rick,

Your drift is a common problem when using up-converters in for QRSS modes. Unfortunately the typical microprocessor Xtal, when used this way, is not stable enough to hold a straight line. If you work out the math you will find that a tiny percentage drift, like 1ppm/deg F will represent a large change (in Hz) at the upper frequency - the freq that your receiver is tuned to.
